Alton Towers iPad caricatures

Working with the very talented Luisa Calvo at the much publicised Alton Towers in Staffordshire. Fortunately the visitors to our event had nothing but positive thoughts and great iPad caricatures to take away with them. The park hotel hosting the event for Kuehne + Nagel has2015-06-25_21-57-42 some wonderful paraphernalia decorating it's rooms and hallways and it must be a absolute joy to stay here as a child.

Not so joyful was my nightmare journey here being stationery on the M1 due a lorry collision for 2.5 hours it was very hot day and all I had was a tub of chewing gums to keep my mouth moist. Due to that huge delay I arrived at the venue at exactly the same time the clients entered the dinning hall where Luisa and I were set up with our iPads linked to screens. Thanks to many years of experience and some welcome help from Luisa I managed to get set up in record time and was ready to rock and roll just as my first client approached me.

Once again drawing caricatures on the iPad at an event was very popular and Luisa and I barely drew breath. We were both linked to portrait mounted screens so the audience could watch us drawing live. Not only that but we printed each full colour caricature out onto 4 x 6 prints as well as sending them out as an email attachment.

The ease of which a colour template can be utilised with iPad caricatures is another great plus point. Luisa designed a nice drop shadow border to set off the logo of Great Ormond Street the benefitting charity.

We only had a very short slot and even that was interrupted by speeches however the large tv screens that we were linked to ensured that all the attendees were able to enjoy watching us draw even if they were unable to have their own caricature drawn. Watching an artist draw on a large screen is great entertainment and ideal where the guests are required to mostly remain seated.
